Metropolis can hardly be called a hotel, although you can stay there for a night or a weekend. It's more of a space where staying becomes an experience.

We're staying at 5 Nevsky Prospekt, in an apartment that was once a communal space. The project team spent three years working with restorers and historians to restore it.

This resulted in nine rooms, each dedicated to a classic Russian literary figure, from Gogol to Dostoevsky.
